Yvette Atkinson – Counselling Coach
Counselling offers help when you are going through a period of emotional or psychological distress and confusion which is hindering your normal capacity to live an authentic and meaningful life.
I provide support and guidance through counselling and /or life coaching, by providing a safe, non-judgemental and professional service. Here is an opportunity for you to talk to a professional therapist to help you understand yourself and your situation. This may involve reflecting on your life experiences and your responses to new ones. Sometimes a perspective from someone not involved in your day to day life can provide clarity and a problem shared is a problem halved!
I will also help you to identify what changes in lifestyle could reduce any distress you feel, and to support you as you consider how to do this. Depending on what you wish to share, I will work with you to explore how you can progress towards living in a way that is more satisfactory and resourceful for you.
Areas of interest include:
- Grief and loss
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Bullying
- Low self esteem
- Depression
You can bring any difficulty which you feel is making it challenging for you to live your life as you wish to. The source of the difficulty may be clear to you: a bereavement or loneliness, or you may be aware of heightened levels of anxiety that you want to explore and understand, using the counselling relationship to think and talk through how you might want to change in the future. Goal setting and learning some coping strategies are an integral part of making the most the counselling sessions.
Grief and loss, anxiety, depression, bullying, self esteem, depression - Counselling provides a time for you to work on your relationship with yourself, which is the most important relationship you will ever have.
